BIRTHDAYS

Another year has gone bye, yikes. Yes! it is my birthday tomorrow. I wish I was a child again so that maybe I would get the attention I so desperately seek. Instead my husband will bring home a cake and the bottle of wine I asked him to bring lol.

We may go to his parents for drinks like we do every Saturday. It would be nice to have a surprise like him coming home and saying we are going out. My 3 yr old doesn't understand either she is expecting me to have balloons, cake and presents with tons of friends here. I have explained it to her a billion times that I don't get parties.

Which really it would be nice, I through a birthday party or barbecue for all my friends and family every year yet no one has attempted to return the favour. Oh well I guess I do it because I love to entertain, not because I want one in return.

I will take growing old gracefully and refuse to be ashamed of it. Like my favorite saying " a year wiser not older!"

Glee!

So, if you haven't watch the new t.v series Glee get back to your couch and turn the t.v on!!! It is hysterical. It's about a high school glee club of losers with big talent. This show is over dramatic and one really well written comedy. I'm 28 yrs old and get great pleasure from watching this idiotic show.

My only complaint is that it is only an hour long, but hey who knows, I imagine there will eventually be a movie made about it. The sad thing is that I really hate it when TV shows make movies of the series but I will go buy this one lol.

Life of a Small Village

It is 2009 and it seems though it is 1960. Uneven dirt roads, very few street lights and old war time houses. In fact our house was built in 1945. There is a population of maybe 100 people. Our local business consist of a tavern, a cafe, post office, town office, school and the village office.

The citizens are mostly Ukrainian and aboriginal, 80% are seniors, and the rest young families seeking quietness and safety that a small town provides. Groceries and other amenities are a half hours drive.

Everyone knows everyone by name and location, as well as every ones business. Gossip is horrendous, and family feuds that have been generating for years is still circulating.

Our local fire department is volunteer ran with little to no training which means we can only put out grass and wild fires. So if our 1945 home was to go in flames it would take the prince albert fire department 45 mins + to get here to put it out (bye bye house). Quading and ski-doing is the main transportation in town.

I love it here, it gets very lonely at times but I manage. I get neighbours stopping by once in while for coffee or to get me to volunteer for something. The younger families argue with the older generation for change so that we can have paved streets or good drinking water etc. but in the long run my family is safe and it is indeed very quiet.

Falling for fall!

There are now enough leaves for leaf jumping yay! My little girl gets great pleasure in this activity. There is seriously no greater joy than hearing a child's hysterical giggle and the smell of a crisp Autumn sent. The colours are like an old museum painting.

Fall has always been my favorite season it is just too bad its so short. I''l take it as it is and love every second of it. October is a busy month for this family my birthday, thanksgiving and halloween. Apparently my little girl wants to be a robot for Halloween lol. I love that day, we live in a tiny village of about 100 people so all the kids run freely in the streets. The night is filled with spooky music and laughter.

Huh! what rumour about Famekills tour is true?

Ok so we have all heard numerous rumours about the Famekills tour with Lady Gaga and Kayne West starting in November. This morning on the radio it was said that kayne west is going to rehab. True or untrue? Then it was said that the show in saskatoon was sold out, but yet you can still buy seats at ticketmaster huh? a week or so it was said that kayne west has considered cancelling his tour dates, how does that make sense if they are still advertising the tour together? Lady Gaga is defending kayne's actions maybe its a desperate attempt to keep him on board with the tour?

I think that maybe if celebrities would concentrate more on being great at what they do rather than letting ther ego's swell and and throwing all their hard work down the drain with drugs and booze they might have a fighting chance surviving the industry. They say any poblicity is good publicity so not true! It has come to the point were it is more surprising if a musician manages to stay clean and create album after album, than self distruct.

They should be sent to a regular rehab proogram that isn't geared to the rich and famous, throw away the simpathy and luxury and then maybe they will want to clean up and not go back every second month. I've watched those lame shows on celebrity rehab. Give me a break!

Celebrities are always boo hooing about wanting a regular life and they want to be treated like regular people well then start acting like adults not pampered heiress's.
